Here's why you should add chia #seeds to your diet

But they must be soaked and activated!
- #Chiaseeds hold 12 times their weight in water, so eating the without activating or soaking them can cause dehydration.
- Soaking them in water reduces the enzyme inhibitors which protect the seed from being digested and can cause damage to our gut lining.
- Soaking or activating them makes them easier to absorb and enables us to process the nutrients such as the amino acids more readily.
How do you activate chia seeds?
To activate, soak the chia seeds in water for around 20 minutes, until they develop a chewy texture.
