Tell us about your experiences with the Don’t Pause for Menopause programme

Since starting the programme, I feel lighter, fitter, more aware and enlightened about my health. I sleep better and have formed a routine in terms of exercising/activity, eating and sleeping since starting the programme. All these are steps in the right direction hence feel positive and confident that will achieve my health goals.

Mainly I have seen improvement in bloatedness, acid reflux, heavy headedness, fatigue, disruptive sleep at night and hair loss. My craving for sugar is gradually decreasing.

What are you enjoying most about the programme?

Overall I am thoroughly enjoying the programme, excellent support of extremely efficient Meera and her team, the different exercise sessions, particularly enjoying exercising with Meera as she pushes me that one step further every time without compromising on technique, variety of food and the support of an amazing group of women on the programme. It is so refreshing to be able to share my lifestyle experiences without judgements. This programme has reintroduced me to my healthy self by helping me to form a good exercising and diet routine.

Overall knowledge on nutrition so far has been an eye opener. It has taught me to eat in awareness rather than for the sake of it, the importance of eating green and a variety of vegetables and salad and portion control without compromising on foods that I enjoy. I am fascinated by how much veg and salad can be packed in our diets everyday. Another big learning for me has been cooking with or with very little oil, salt and overload of spices, and to actually appreciate the real taste and flavours of the food/dish. As for Meera, she is a passionate, professional, thorough, supportive, no nonsense person and her time management skills are phenomenal.
