Turmeric mixture
I formulated this mixture primarily because I was fed up of taking turmeric capsules daily to combat inflammation and resulting pain I was getting in my joints. Coincidentally, I found out it also helped to reduce the symptoms of coughs and colds. It is a remedy that I give to the whole family.
Turmeric can be an aquired taste, so I suggest starting with small doses, as noted on the label. When I feel a cold or flu-like symptoms coming on, or when I have had a particularly strenuous training or yoga session, I will increase my frequency to twice a day instead of just once. Turmeric, in the Indian culture, is said to be a spice which provides “heat” to the body. With this in mind, I have added other spices which also warm the body too.
This mixture is blended with black pepper to improve efficacy and ideally should be consumed with a good fat (olive oil, coconut oil, MCT oil) to improve absorption.
Consume this blend with a good fat, such as coconut oil, to improve its absorption and efficacy.
