Dairy and gluten free ingredients and recipes are our version of ‘bread and butter’! Our founder, Meera Bhogal, started Meera’s Made from Scratch with the vision to nurture a community of people who have dairy and gluten allergies and intolerances. Our aim is to provide nutritious and wholesome food that is full of flavour and perfect for you, your family and friends.
Wholesome, good quality food is our ethos. We truly believe in the mantra, ‘your body is a temple’ and we aim to nurture your bodies with the best organically sourced ingredients. We use organic meat from organic farms and we are transparent about where your food comes from. Where we can, we always aim to shop local too and use fresh organic produce from local suppliers and farms.
We love our planet and our aim is for all of our work to nurture our planet too – after all, we have a duty to care for the home we all inhabit. All of our packaging is either compostable, recyclable or reusable and the majority of it is made from plant-based materials too. We do not use any plastic in our products or packaging.
All our food is dairy- and gluten-free, and the majority are vegan or vegetarian too!

Where do you get your ingredients from?
All of our ingredients are bought from reputable and organic producers who are local where possible too.
Is your packaging plastic?
Our product packaging may look plastic, however they are made from renewable plant sources instead. All of the packaging we use is either biodegradable, compostable, recyclable or resuable!
How long do your products last for before going off?
Every product sold has a label on its base containing key information about ingredients, storage requirements and lifetime. As each product is different and they are all made fresh, be sure to check this label to get the most out of your items!
I have an allergy. Can you accommodate me?
All of our products are both dairy and gluten free, and the majority are egg free too. We do use nuts, peanuts and sesame in some items, as well as some other common allergens too though. Be sure to check the ingredients on the product page before you buy, but if you’re not sure or want to ask us a question, feel free to drop us an email!

What’s your favourite Made From Scratch product?
My favourite is the Turmeric Mixture and the one I’m most proud of is the Caveman Wraps because they were definitely a light bulb moment!
Tell me an interesting fact about yourself…
I wanted to be a sports photographer when I was in my teens. I gained a photography qualification and know how to develop black and white images.
When not at work, where will you be?
On my yoga mat, practising.

I love watching films. My favourite ones to watch on repeat are The Usual Suspects, Fast and Furious and Oceans 11, 12 and 13.

There are too many to pick just one, but I think it’s got to be peanut shortbread.

I’m a qualified pharmacist with over 20 years experience.
